Aim. Determining the level of expression, variability and features inheritance main breeding traits flax somaclones (Linum usitatissimum L.) in connection with possibility their use as initial selection material was aim our research. Methods. Hypocotyl epicotyl segments for induction callusogenesis somatic embryogenesis were cultured vitro on nutrient medium Murashige Skoog addition 1.00 mg/l 6-benzylaminopurine 0.05 1-naphthylacetic acid, 30 g/l sucrose, a photoperiod 16 h, illumination 2500 lux, relative air humidity 60–80 %, temperature 22–24°C. Somaclones adapted vivo, generations studied field. Results. Hlinum variety tested field according to not significantly inferior control variant; however, among them it is possible single out some valuable individual plants further breeding. Conclusions. Peculiarities correlations between indicate creating high fibrousness seed productivity at same time, fiber mass its content, allow by indirect – total and/or technical stem length, mass. A promising direction sources manifestation trait number capsules plant (up 17 pcs.).
